“The commandment,” the son said,
“is nothing but true”.
“You shall not steal,” the son said.
But she got the clue.
And the girl said: “Some cannot
agree not to steal.”
“Tell me why,” said the son,
“Tell me: How do you feel?”
“I feel sorry for children
who live on the street,”
said the girl. And he nodded.
“They nick just to eat!”
“That is true,” said the son,
but beware: “Do they steal?”
“Yes, they do,” said the girl.
And the son said: “But, steal?”
“They do not!” said the girl.
And the son said: “True. No.”
And the girl laughed and played
with him so, I should know.
